As part of our corporate commitment to be a
sustainable firm, BPro Inc. has implemented
an office recycling program. All employees are
encouraged to dispose of waste correctly. BPro
is dedicated to minimizing waste through good work
practice, reducing energy use, economic recycling
and reusing when possible. |
 |
White and Mixed Paper Recycling - Multiple
receptacles are located around the office to collect white
and colored / mixed paper. Additional receptacles are placed
in all common areas. The receptacles are kept separate from
waste receptacles and are emptied regularly. Paper is then
brought to the City of Pierre waste facility.
Aluminum and Plastic Container Recycling - Recycling
receptacles for aluminum cans and plastic bottles are
provided for employees in a common area of the office. Cans
and bottles are then brought to the City of Pierre waste
facility.
Magazine Recycling – Recycling receptacles for
magazines and catalogs are provided for employees in a
common area of the office. Magazines and catalogs are then
brought to the City of Pierre waste facility.
Corrugated Cardboard Recycling - Corrugated cardboard
contains waffled layers and is quite simply one of the
easiest and best ways to recycle. A Recycling receptacle for
cardboard is provided for employees in a common area of the
office. Cardboard is then brought to the City of Pierre
waste facility.
Ink Cartridges and Batteries - Recycling receptacles
for ink cartridges and batteries are provided for employees
in a common area of the office. Ink cartridges are then
brought to Noble Ink & Toner to be recycled. Batteries are
brought to the City of Pierre waste facility.
Lights and Energy - BPro strives to conserve energy
by turning off lights when rooms are going to be unoccupied,
and only turning on machinery when it is required.
Computers - Old computers are either broken down and
the parts are reused, or they are donated to local
charities.
BPro Green Team - The BPro Green team developed a
waste management strategy which accommodates recycling
procedures and initiatives. The team meets regularly to
continue to develop and improve the range and scope of
recycling schemes. The team also maintains an updated “drop
off” schedule to ensure that all recycling is taken to the
City of Pierre Waste Facility.
